The canton of Velay volcanique is an administrative division of the Haute-Loire department, south-central France. It was created at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Cussac-sur-Loire.[1]

It consists of the following communes:[1]

  5. Le Bouchet-Saint-Nicolas
  6. Le Brignon
  7. Cayres
  8. Costaros
  9. Cussac-sur-Loire

  15. Saint-Arcons-de-Barges
  16. Saint-Christophe-sur-Dolaison
  17. Saint-Étienne-du-Vigan

  19. Saint-Jean-Lachalm

  22. Solignac-sur-Loire
