Walter S. Maxwell (September 12, 1836 – August 19, 1895) was an American from Somers, Wisconsin, who served as a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly and the Wisconsin State Senate.

Background

Maxwell was born on September 12, 1836 in Jackson, New York.[1] He moved to Wisconsin in 1850, settling in Somers, Wisconsin. Maxwell died unexpectedly on August 19, 1895 in Superior, Wisconsin.[2][3]

Career

After serving three terms in the Wisconsin State Assembly, Maxwell was elected to the Senate in 1884. Additionally, he served as Supervisor of Somers, Chairman of Somers from 1874 to 1881 and again in 1884 and Chairman of the Kenosha County, Wisconsin Board in 1884.
