Central District (Tabriz County)

The Central District of Tabriz County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان تبریز) is a district (bakhsh) in Tabriz County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 1,521,239, in 414,499 families.[1] The District has four cities: Tabriz, Sardrud, Malek Kian, and Basmenj. The District has four rural districts (dehestan): Aji Chay Rural District, Esperan Rural District, Meydan Chay Rural District, and Sard-e Sahra Rural District.
