Hannover-Land I is a constituency in Lower Saxony represented in the Bundestag, the German parliament. The constituency elects one representative under the mixed member proportional representation (MMP) system. It covers parts of the rural district of Hannover. Under the current constituency numbering system, Hannover-Land I is designated as constituency 43 (German: Wahlkreis 43).[1]

Gerhard Schröder, who was Chancellor of Germany between 1998 and 2005, represented Hannover-Land I from its creation until the federal elections in 1983.
