Scatec Solar is a European company which specializes in integration of photovoltaics (PV) systems. The company was founded by Dr. Alf Bjørseth in 2007.[1] The two major shareholders of the company are Scatec and Itochu.

It is headquartered in Oslo, Norway, and the company has offices in Germany, Czech Republic, Italy, France, The Netherlands, United States, South Africa and India. The company has also invested in solar energy projects in Ukraine.[2]

The company specialises in developing, engineering and constructing large scale photovoltaic systems. In addition, Scatec Solar is building off grid systems in developing countries. The company has partnered with the Norwegian government to complete projects in the past.[3]
