The 47th Regiment Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry was an infantry regiment that served in the Union Army during the American Civil War.

Service

The 47th Wisconsin was organized at Madison, Wisconsin and mustered into Federal service on February 27, 1865.

The regiment was mustered out on September 4, 1865.

Casualties

The 47th Wisconsin suffered 39 enlisted men who died of disease, for a total of 39 fatalities.[1]
