Location of constituency in Bavaria

Nuremberg North (German: Nürnberg-Nord) is one of the 299 single member constituencies (German: Wahlkreis) used for the German parliament, the Bundestag. It is one of forty five districts in Bavaria and one of the two covering the city of Nuremberg.

The constituency was created for the 1965 election from parts of the Nuremberg and Nuremberg-Fürth constituencies. Throughout its history, the constituency has been held by either the Christian Social Union (CSU) or the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD). Since 2002 it has been represented by Dagmar Wöhrl of the CSU,[1] who had represented the district from 1994 to 1998.

The constituency includes the city districts of Almoshof, Altstadt-St. Lorenz, Altstadt-St. Sebald, Bärenschanze, Bielingplatz, Boxdorf, Buch, Buchenbühl, Dutzendteich, Eberhardshof, Erlenstegen, Flughafen, Galgenhof, Gleißhammer, Glockenhof, Gostenhof, Großgründlach, Guntherstraße, Himpfelshof, Kraftshof, Laufamholz, Ludwigsfeld, Marienberg, Marienvorstadt, Maxfeld, Mögeldorf, Mooshof, Muggenhof, Neunhof, Pirckheimerstraße, Sandberg, Schafhof, Schleifweg, Schmausenbuckstraße, Schniegling, Schoppershof, St. Jobst, St. Johannis, Tafelhof, Thon, Tullnau, Uhlandstraße, Veilhof, Westfriedhof, Wetzendorf, Wöhrd, Zerzabelshof and Ziegelstein.[2]
