Quinnis is a Big Finish Productions audiobook based on the long-running British science fiction television series Doctor Who.

The Companion Chronicles "talking books" are each narrated by one of the Doctor's companions and feature a second, guest-star voice along with music and sound effects.

Plot

The First Doctor and his granddaughter Susan arrive on the planet Quinnis, in the Fourth Universe. Quinnis is struggling through a terrible drought and the Doctor offers to bring back the rain.

Cast

Continuity

  • In the 1964 story The Edge of Destruction, Susan mentioned that they briefly lost the TARDIS on the planet Quinnis "four or five journeys ago".
  • This is the first Big Finish Doctor Who audio drama to take place before the first television story in 1963, An Unearthly Child.
  • This also means the TARDIS' Chameleon Circuit still works and has yet to take the form of a police box. In this case, it is disguised as a kiosk made of wood with awnings striped red and white.
  • The fish the Doctor gives Susan becomes a problem for her several decades later when she returns to the TARDIS in Relative Dimensions.
  • Susan's narration takes place after the events of the audio play An Earthly Child, but before Relative Dimensions.

Cast Notes

  • Tara-Louise Kaye is the daughter of Carole Ann Ford.
