Mark Crosweller is the Director-General of Emergency Management Australia.[1] He previously served as the third Commissioner for the ACT Emergency Services Agency responsible for the ACT Fire Brigade, ACT Ambulance Service, Rural Fire Service and State Emergency Service. He was appointed to this position in 2009. Crosweller had earlier been an Assistant Commissioner in the New South Wales Rural Fire Service.

  • 1985 - joined Headquarters Brigade, Warringah-Pittwater District (later Deputy Captain, Senior Deputy Captain, captain and Deputy Group Captain)
  • 1994 - appointed Deputy Fire Control Officer
  • 1996 - appointed Fire Control Officer
  • 1998 - appointed Assistant Commissioner

He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.[2]
