Torkamanchay District

Torkamanchay District (Persian: بخش ترکمانچای, Azerbaijani: Türkəmənçay Bəxşi) is a district (bakhsh) in Meyaneh County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 25,281, in 5,935 families.[1] The District has one city: Torkamanchay. The District has four rural districts (dehestan): Barvanan-e Gharbi Rural District, Barvanan-e Markazi Rural District, Barvanan-e Sharqi Rural District, and Owch Tappeh-ye Gharbi Rural District.
