Texas State Spur 273 is a state highway the U.S. state of Texas. State Highway Spur 273 or Spur 273 is a short connector route from Business 35 to State Highway 6 in the center of Alvin. Also, one may gain quick access to FM 517 by using a city street called Dickinson Road, which intersects Spur 273 before SH 6. A hospital also once existed along Spur 273.
Route description
Spur 273 begins at an intersection with SH 6 in Alvin, Brazoria County, heading northwest on two-lane undivided Dilling Street. The road passes businesses before heading between commercial areas to the southwest and wooded areas of homes to the northeast. Spur 273 comes to its northern terminus at an intersection with Bus. SH 35-C.[1][2][3]
History
Spur 273 was created on August 28, 1953 along its current alignment connecting SH 6 to SH 35 (later Loop 409, now Bus. SH 35-C).[1]
