Asbolane is a type of a hexagonal mineral containing calcium, cobalt, hydrogen, manganese, nickel, and oxygen. Its crystal system is a hexagonal crystal system.[1] Its chemical formula is Mn4+ (O,OH)2+·(Co,Ni,Mg,Ca)x(OH)2x·nH₂O.

Naming

It is named after the Greek word for "to soil like soot". [1]
