Bhaskar Nath (born 23 September 1994)[citation needed] is an Indian classical instrumentalist. He plays the Shehnai[1] belonging to Meerut Shehnai Gharana.[2] He is a child prodigy.

Early life

Nath was born in New Delhi in a family of musicians originally hailing from Meerut to classical singer Pandit Vishwanath and K Rajlaxmi.[citation needed] His uncle is Pandit Jagannath, also a Shehnai player.[citation needed] He started learning Shehanai and Harmonium at a young age under the guidance of his grandfather Om Prakash.[3] He is schooling at Delhi Public School.[4] He is training under vocalist Pandit Jasraj.[citation needed]

Career

Nath gave his first solo performance at the age of 10.[citation needed] His renders in Ragas in Gayaki ang (style), Banarasi dhun, Thumri, Chaiti, Kajri and Tappa.[citation needed]

He performed at major festivals, such as the Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Festival in 2010,[5] and Pandit Motiram Pandit Maniram Sangeet Samaroh in 2011. He is also pursuing his graduation With ECONOMICS(HONS) from hindu college, university of delhi .[citation needed]
