Terlingua Common School District is a public school district based in the community of Study Butte-Terlingua in unincorporated Brewster County, in the U.S. state of Texas.

The district, which also serves Lajitas, has two campuses — Big Bend High School (Grades 9–12) and Terlingua Elementary (Grades PK–8).

Big Bend High School takes high-schoolers within the San Vicente Independent School District, which serves residents from K through 8.

As of 2007, the Texas State Energy Conservation Office awards Terlingua ISD money due to the colonias served by the district.[1]

In 2009, the school district was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.[2]
