Pattariyar

Pattariyar is Hindu community residing in the Indian states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala.[1]

Traditionally, their occupation is weaving and were known for silk-weaving, although by the end of 20th century, they had moved to other occupations, including cotton weaving, running small businesses and government service.[2]
