Child Marriage in Togo. In 2017 in Togo, 22% of girls are married off before the 18 yo. 6% are married before they turn 15.[1]

On average, one out of four girls will be married before the 18 years old.[1]

In 2017 44% of women aged 20-24 with no education and 29% with primary education were married or in union at age 18, this was much lower with women with secondary education or higher that are the 8%.[1]

The minimum age of marriage is 18 for girls and 20 for boys but both can marry under 18 or 20 with parental consent.[1]
