Bucculatrix zophopasta |
Bucculatrix zophopasta is a moth in the family Bucculatricidae. It was described by Annette Frances Braun in 1963 and is found in North America, where it has been recorded from British Columbia, Oregon and California.
The wingspan is 7–8 mm. The forewings are ocherous, the scales shading to brown at the tips, or irrorated dark fuscous, with an angulated white fascia near the base and two oblique costal streaks. The hindwings are pale stramineous in females and pale fuscous in males or pale fuscous in both sexes. Adults have been recorded on wing in March, June and August.
The larvae feed on Quercus garryana and possibly Quercus lobata.[2]
