The Last of the Mohicans is an EP by new wave group Bow Wow Wow , released by RCA Records in May 1982. It featured production by Kenny Laguna of Joan Jett & the Blackhearts fame.[2]
The EP contained their biggest hit, a cover of the Strangeloves ' "I Want Candy ". The Last of the Mohicans peaked at No. 67 on the Billboard 200 , their highest entry on the chart.[3]
The cover photograph, taken by Andy Earl, was Bow Wow Wow's recreation of Le déjeuner sur l'herbe by Édouard Manet , which caused outrage when it first appeared as the cover of See Jungle! See Jungle! Go Join Your Gang Yeah, City All Over! Go Ape Crazy! .[4]
