Bishop Kannikadass William Antony is the current serving bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Mysore, India.[1][2][3]

Early life

Antony was born on 27 February 1965 in Pollibetta, Karnataka, India.[1] He holds a bachelor's degree in Education and a master's degree in Christianity from the University of Mysore. He studied from St. Mary's Minor Seminary and St. Philomena's College in Mysore. He completed his studies in philosophy and theology and acquired a master's degree in Canon Law from St. Peter's Pontifical Seminary in Bangalore.[4]

Priesthood

On 18 May 1993, Antony was ordained a catholic priest for the Diocese of Mysore.[1]

Episcopate

Antony was appointed bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Mysore on 25 January 2017 by Pope Francis, and consecrated by Bishop Thomas Anthony Vazhapilly on 27 February 2017.[1][3][5]
