Pabellón de Hidalgo is a town of 4,006 inhabitants in the municipality of Rincón de Romos, Aguascalientes, Mexico.[1]
Museum of the Insurgency
In the town the Museum of the Insurgency is housed in what was formerly the mansion of the Hacienda de San Blas. It opened on 17 October 1967 with the aim of spreading events during the independence of Mexico. It houses murals by Alfredo Flores Zermeno, depicting cultural, political and social events during the last two centuries (1810-2010) in the history of Mexico. It is said that after the defeat of the rebels at the Battle of Calderón Bridge, they arrived at the Hacienda de San Blas, where Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla was removed from command.[2]
The Museum is located on the west side of the main plaza of the town at 19 Plaza 24 de Enero. The Templo de San Blas en Pabellón de Hidalgo is located on the north side of the plaza.
