Kampong Masin Mosque (Malay: Masjid Kampong Masin) is a mosque located in Masin, a village in Brunei-Muara District, Brunei. It is located approximately 24 kilometres (15 mi) from Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei. The mosque was inaugurated in 1987 and has a worshippers' capacity of 500 people.[1] Kampong Masin Mosque serves the need of the Muslim residents of Masin for Islamic communal prayers and activities, in particular the Jumu'ah or weekly Friday prayers.

History

The construction of the mosque began in 1986 and completed in the following year. On 27 December 1987, Kampong Masin Mosque was officially opened by the then Minister of Religious Affairs, Awang Mohd. Zain bin Serudin.[1]
