Velveteen is the second album by English rock group Transvision Vamp. Released in 1989, a year after their debut album Pop Art, the album provided such hits as "Baby I Don't Care" which reached number 3 in the UK and Australia. Velveteen went on to peak at number 1 on the UK Albums Chart in 1989 and number 2 in Australia where it became the 39th highest selling album of the year (Pop Art was number 25).[5]
A video was released to accompany the album. Entitled The Velveteen Singles, it featured the videos for all four singles released from the album, as well as "'behind the scenes' footage".
