The Parliamentary Oversight Panel (in German Parlamentarisches Kontrollgremium), often abbreviated PKGr or PKG, is a committee of the Bundestag in charge of intelligence services oversight. Its members exert control over the Military Counterintelligence Service (MAD), the Federal Intelligence Service (BND) and the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV). The Federal Government has to inform its members about the work of the intelligence services and proceedings that are matters of national security.
