Myrishkor District (sometimes spelled Myrishkar in English) (Template:Lang-uz; Template:Lang-tg; Russian: Миришкар)is a district of Qashqadaryo Region in Uzbekistan. The capital lies at Yangi-Mirishkor.The district population in 2019 year was 118.540 people. It borders with Turkmenistan, Bukhara Region, Muborak, Kasbi, Nishon districts. It covers an area of 3.100 km2 (1.197 sq mi). The population is estimated to be around 118.540 (2019).

Climate

Mirishkar has a cold desert climate (Köppen climate classification BWk). The district has mild winters, but very hot and dry summers. The average June temperature is about 28 °C (82 °F).

Economy

Natural resources include significant petroleum and natural gas reserves. Major agricultural activities include cotton, various crops and livestock.
