Sons of the East are an Australian indie-folk trio formed in 2011 by Nic Johnston, Dan Wallage and Jack Rollins.[1] They have issued three extended plays and a number of singles in their time as a band. The trio and their band have performed at Festival Of The Sun,[2] South by Southwest,[3] Boardmasters Festival[4] amongst other international festivals.

Career

The band issued their debut self-titled extended play in August 2013, which provided their single, "Come Away".[1] In November 2015, they released another EP, Already Gone.[5]

In May 2019, Sons Of The East released their third studio EP, Burn Right Through, featuring singles Nothing Comes Easy, Silver Lining and It Must Be Luck.[6] The ABC's Dan Condon said of the single, "It Must Be Luck is a guaranteed starter on just about every wedding playlist from here on in", while describing the band as a "rootsy, uber-chilled group with really close-knit harmonies and really strong, pretty songs."[7][8]
