List of dukes and duchesses of Östergötland
Swedish princes in some dynasties were made dukes of various provinces, and their wives made duchesses of the same provinces. In English, the title "Hertig av Östergötland" is sometimes given as Duke of Ostrogothia or Duke of East Gothland. Since 1772 it has been only a nominal title, without conferring real political power.
