Lake Osveya or Lake Osveyskoye (Belarusian: Асвейскае возера or Асьвейскае возера; Russian: озеро Осве́я or Осве́йское озеро) is a large freshwater lake in the Vitebsk Region, northern Belarus, near the borders with Latvia and Russia. It has an area of 52.8 km2 (20 sq mi), making it the second largest lake in the country.[1][2] The Republic of Belarus's most extreme northern point is situated only a few degrees further north of the lake.[3]
