Velgodu is a village and a Mandal in Kurnool district in the state of Andhra Pradesh in India.[1]

Geography

It is known for the Telugu Ganga reservoir, and it is near Nallamala Forest. It is between Nandyal and Atmakur towns.

It is very is anear place to enter into deep Nalamalla Forest. There are some temples inside the forest (Yaganandam, Gundla Brammeswaram, Rudrakodu etc.).

Velgode is situated on Banks of Galeru river which is a sub tributary of Penna River. Galeru river is connected to Srisailam reservoir located in Krishna River basin through Pothireddypadu deep cut feeder canal .
