James Charles Kerwin (May 14, 1850 – January 29, 1921) was an American lawyer and judge from Wisconsin. He was a Justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court for 16 years.
Biography
Born in Menasha, Wisconsin,[1] Kerwin graduated from University of Wisconsin Law School in 1875.[1] In 1904, he was elected to the Wisconsin Supreme Court, taking office in January 1905. He was re-elected in 1914 and served until his death in 1921.[2] He died unexpectedly at his home in Madison.[1]
