Belchi is a village in Patna district in Bihar state of India.

Indira Gandhi when she was out of power 1977 visited Belchi to meet victims of atrocities on Dalits. This helped her regain power. This Belchi is located in Patna District while Belchi where Sufi Chillah situated is located in Nalanda District (Bihar Sharif). [1][2][3][4]

Sufi Chillah

12th century Sufi Saint, Hazrat Usman Harooni chillah is in Belchi. As known, there was a lady Muridah, who was promised by Hazrat Usman Harooni that after her death her tomb will be beneath his legs. But eventually Hazrat Usman Harooni died in Makkah Arab. To fulfill his promise, Hazrat Usman Harooni spiritually came to Belchi and fulfilled his promise. Hazrat Usman Harooni order to built his Chillah and beside is the tomb of the lady. The symbol of his strength is found in Belchi. Past 650 years, Annual Urs take place every year at the Chillah Belchi on 14 to 16 Shawwal of Islamic Calendar.
