"Singhik Sentam" the name decoded. , During the Chogyal's Era "Singee Kazi" a Tax Collector, collected taxes from present day villages of Malling, Zimchung, and Sentam. As years went by and more so for easier reference to his area. His entire domain or area from which he collected taxes was known as Singee, after his name. Hence his name got attached to the village or the domain as a whole. Sentam a part of his domain too had "Singee "attached to it, so did other villages.
