Kadamai Kanniyam Kattupaadu (transl. Duty, Dignity, Discipline) is a 1987 Tamil language Indian crime thriller film directed by Santhana Bharathi, produced by Kamal Haasan, starring Sathyaraj, Geetha and Captain Raju in lead roles. The film had no songs and it ran for 150 days in Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu making it a box office super hit. The film is a remake of 1986 Malayalam film Aavanazhi.

Plot

The film revolves around the story of an honest and straightforward Tamil Nadu police officer and his life.

Kadamai Kanniyam Kattupaadu is a remake of the 1986 Malayalam film Aavanazhi.[1] Sathyaraj said he accepted to act in the film because it was a remake of a successful film, and was guaranteed to do well. Kamal Haasan produced the film, and although an established actor, did not appear onscreen.[2]
