Manabu Saitō (齋藤 学, Saitō Manabu, born 4 April 1990 in Kanagawa) is a Japanese footballer who plays as a midfielder for Kawasaki Frontale in J1 League having spent the majority of his career with Yokohama F. Marinos.[1]

National team career

In August 2007, Saito was elected Japan U-17 national team for 2007 U-17 World Cup. He played 2 matches. In July 2012, he was elected Japan U-23 national team for 2012 Summer Olympics. He played 4 matches and Japan won the 4th place.

In July 2013, Saito was elected Japan national team for 2013 East Asian Cup. At this tournament, on July 21, he debuted against China. He was also elected Japan for 2014 World Cup, but he did not play in the match. He played 6 games and scored 1 goal for Japan until 2016.[2]
