The team try to qualify for the Rio 2016 games but missed out during the World Championships and IBSA World Games.

In 2017 the team took its first ever medal on an international level by winning the bronze at the European Championships in Finland. Less than a year later they confirmed their good level by winning the bronze at the 2018 World Championships in Malmö, Sweden. By this bronze medal they secured a ticket for the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics.
