The Deputy Prime Minister of Solomon Islands is the Solomon Islands' secondary Head of Government appointed by the Prime Minister of the Solomon Islands.

Since November the 16th 2017, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Solomon Islands has been Manasseh Sogavare MP, who is also the ex-Prime Minister of the Solomon Islands serving from the 9th of December 2014 to the 15 November 2017.[1]

Before becoming Prime Minister, Sogavare served in the National Parliament as Member for East Choiseul beginning in 1997.[2]

Current Deputy Prime Minister's Past

Prior to being appointed as the Deputy Prime Minister in Rick Houenipwela's Cabinet of the Solomon Islands, Manasseh Sogavare served as the Prime Minister of the Solomon Islands before he was voted out with a vote of no confidence through the National Parliament of the Solomon Islands.
