Hoseynabad-e Marran (Persian: حسين آباد مران, also Romanized as Ḩoseynābād-e Marrān and Ḩoseynābād-e Merān; also known as Ḩoseynābād)[1] is a village in Obatu Rural District, Karaftu District, Divandarreh County, Kurdistan Province, Iran. The name "Hoseynabad-e Marran" was given to the village as part of a systematic state project to replace the Kurdish names of villages with Persian names. The Kurdish name of the village is "Shwankara," which is the only name used by the local folk. At the 2006 census, its population was 113, in 35 families.[2]
