Dosar Vaishya is a Hindu Vaishya community [1] that originated from the Dhosi hill region near Rewari. They are also known as Dhusar. They are very few in numbers. Their population is very less among vaishya community. They have very less representation (almost nil) in government services & political seats. This caste come under general category.

Few of them have established industries & shops in Kanpur and other cities.[2] Few of them are often big merchants of a good (medium-upper) socio-economic status. The author of the famous Jhanda Geet (विजयी विश्व तिरंगा प्यारा, झण्डा ऊँचा रहे हमारा), Shyam Lal Gupta was a Dosar.[3]
