Kayla Banwarth (born January 21, 1989) is an American ex-indoor volleyball player, a former member of the United States women's national volleyball team, a participant of the 2016 Summer Olympics,[1] bronze medalist of the 2016 Olympic Games, 2015 World Cup, and a gold medalist of the 2014 World Championship. She is the current women's volleyball head coach at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss).[2]

Career

She played college volleyball at University of Nebraska.[3]

Banwarth was part of the USA national team that won the 2014 World Championship gold medal when the team defeated China 3–1 in the final match.[4][5]
Banwarth retired after the 2016 Rio Olympics and took on a coaching role at her former college, the University of Nebraska, helping the women's volleyball team.
