John Danby (born July 20, 1948 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player and coach.

After winning consecutive national championships with Boston University in the earley 1970's Danby joined the New England Whalers of the World Hockey Association.[1] He played throughout the decade of the 70s before retiring and returning to his alma mater to serve as an assistant coach for two seasons.
