Buckland is in the Franklin Ward of Auckland Regional Council,[1] on the south-east side of Pukekohe, between Pukekohe and Tuakau, and on the northern boundary of Waikato District. The meshblocks of Buckland had these populations in 2013 - 0824401 57, 0824402 57, 0824403 54, 0824404 60, 0824405 60, 0824406 57, 0824407 51, 0824408 51.[2] In the 2018 census the area unit covered most of the rural area to the south and east of Pukekohe,[3] with a population of 1,173 (the equivalent 2013 population of that area was 1,041).[4]
Buckland is on land once owned by William Thorne Buckland. It has a historical church,[5] hall and a primary school.
Buckland once had a railway station.

Buckland is also the name of small settlements east of Cambridge, in the Waikato region,[6] and north east of Feilding.[7]
