Prince Daddy & The Hyena are an American emo/punk band from Albany, New York.
History
Formation and early years
The band formed in 2014 after Kory Gregory, Alex Ziembiec and Zakariya Houacine saw Rozwell Kid. According to Gregory, Rozwell Kid influenced a lot of his early songwriting.[1] Prince Daddy & The Hyena began in 2015 with the release of an extended play titled Adult Summers.[2] They later released their first full-length album titled I Thought You Didn't Even Like Leaving[3] in 2016 on Broken World Media.[3]
Cosmic Thrill Seekers & Bleached Hair Kory
Three years later, the band released its second full-length album titled Cosmic Thrill Seekers on Counter Intuitive Records, and embarked on several extensive tours in support of the album.[4][5][6][7] The band went on tour Europe with Oso Oso in further support of the record in the fall of 2019. In 2020 Kory Gregory bleached his hair as the band embarked on their co-headlining tour with Oso Oso with support from Just Friends.
Musical Style
The band's sound has been described as Indie Rock with punk and slacker influences. Gregory cites The Strokes, Jeff Rosenstock, and Green Day as major influences on the sound. "We just want to make it sound like the soundtrack to a Disney film played by a punk rock band," says Gregory in an interview with The Fader, in describing Cosmic Thrill Seekers. [8]

Taco Bell
In July of 2019 Taco Bell announced they were adding Prince Daddy to their Feed the Beat roster. The band recorded a cover of the Nacho Fries song from the Taco Bell commercial.
