Shaurya Chauhan (born 7 August 1977) is an Indian Model, Actress and a TV Host.[1] She was one of the Kingfisher Calendar Girls for 2006. She appeared as an antagonist opposite to Hrithik Roshan in Krrish 3.[2] And was involved in the infamous slap incident which took place in the reality show Dadagiri.

Early life

Shaurya Chauhan was born in Hyderabad in a Rajput family hailing from Rajasthan. She was a good gymnast during her school days. She was very good in extracurricular activities like dance, play and represented the school in gymnastics.

Career

She was spotted by ace lensman Atul Kasbekar and he shot her in the Kingfisher swimsuit calendar in 2006.[3]

She hosted the TV program, Dadagiri on UTV Bindaas. She slapped a contestant on the show and he quickly retaliated and slapped her back. Following which Akash Beri her co anchor and 70 odd men working for that unit beat the contestant black and blue. As many say she deserved it. She is also known as Neelam Chauhan. Many say she changed her name out of shame after this infamous incident.

Bollywood

She did a small role in Kyon Ki and has played a leading role in Mumbai Salsa. She also acted in Horn Ok Please. She walked out of the movie, Right Yaaa Wrong. She also acted as an antagonist opposite to Hrithik Roshan in Krrish 3.

Personal life

She is married to Rishi Chauhan.[4]
