Aisling Franciosi (/ˈæʃlɪŋ/ Italian: [ˈɛʃliŋɡ franˈtʃoːzi]; born 6 June 1993[1][2]) is an Irish actress. She is known for playing the part of Katie Benedetto in the RTÉ-BBC Two crime drama television series The Fall[3] and for her role as Kate Crawford in the TNT series Legends.[4]

In 2016, Franciosi appeared in the HBO series Game of Thrones in the sixth season as Lyanna Stark and reprised her role in the seventh season.[5] In 2017, she took the lead role in The Nightingale, a period film set in Tasmania and directed by Jennifer Kent.[6]

Early life

Franciosi was born and grew up in Dublin, Ireland. She is the third child of an Italian father and an Irish mother. She is bilingual, fluent in both English and Italian. She studied French and Spanish at Trinity College, Dublin.[7]
