Wade Miquelon (born October 28, 1964) is an American business executive and current CEO of Jo-Ann Stores.

Early Life

Miquelon received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, in 1987, from Purdue University, and a Masters of Business Administration degree in Finance and Marketing, in 1989, from Washington University, St. Louis.

Career

Miquelon spent 16 years with The Procter & Gamble Company, working at the company’s headquarters in Cincinnati, as well as a combined 12 years at their international offices in Bangkok, Singapore, and Geneva. In Geneva, he served as the General Manager and Head of Finance for Western Europe, a P&G division responsible for 30% of total P&G's sales, approximately $20B.[1] In 2006, he joined Tyson Foods, Inc. where he was Executive Vice President and CFO.[2]

In June 2008, Miquelon joined Walgreens as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in July 2009.[1] In September of that year, he was arrested for DUI in Glencoe, Illinois. He was again arrested for DUI one year later in Kenilworth, Illinois, while his license was still suspended from the first DUI,[3] leading fellow Walgreens employees to give him the nickname "Wade Michelob."[4] While at Walgreens, Miquelon was heavily involved in the partnership with fraudulent blood-testing company Theranos,[5] in the purchase of NYC iconic Duane Reade drugstore chain,[6] the acquisition of eCommerce principal, Drugstore.com,[7] and the two step transaction to acquire/merge with Alliance Boots, a $40B in annual revenue company operating in 26 countries and widely regarded as the preeminent international pharmacy and healthcare distribution enterprise. He left Walgreens in 2014, and filed a defamation suit over media reports of being pushed out due to miscalculating an earnings forecast.[8]

In 2019, he was named president and CEO of Jo-Ann Stores after joining the retailer in 2016 as executive vice president and CFO.[8]
