The Chaldean Catholic Territory Dependent (or Patriarchal Dependency) on the Patriarch of Jordan is a missionary pre-diocesan jurisdiction of the Chaldean Catholic Church sui iuris (Eastern Catholic : Chaldean Rite, Syriac language) covering (Trans)Jordan.

As Territory Dependent on the Patriarch, is immediately subject to the Chaldean Catholic Patriarch of Babylon (actually in Baghdad), without being part of his or any other ecclesiastical province. It is not entitled to a (Titular) Bishop as Ordinary, the incumbents use the style Protosyncellus (normally an official in an episcopal curia).

History

Established in 2004 on territory previously without proper Ordinary for the particular church.

Ordinaries

(all Chaldean Rite)

Protosyncelli of Jordan
  • Father Raymond Moussalli (2004 – 2014)
  • Monsignor Zaid Habbaba (2014 – ...)
