This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Sarca sc (talk | contribs) at 08:51, 13 June 2020 (Yamaguchi can be seen in the credits of Mister Ajikko's 51st episode (and the next 48 episodes proceeding); Yamaguchi's name (under the pseudonym Isao Torada) can also be seen on the September 22, 2019 episode of GeGeGe no Kitarou (episode 74) as a storyboard artist and episode director; under different pseudonyms, his name also appears in 2020 episodes, but considering the date of announced death, these are likely posthumous works). Yūji Yamaguchi (山口祐司, Yamaguchi Yūji, fl. 1988 – 2019, died before 9 January 2020)[a] was a Japanese anime director who directed Fate/stay night TV series and the Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works film.

Yamaguchi died of undisclosed causes sometime before 9 January 2020, when his death was announced by a subsequently-removed tweet by Fate/stay night company Studio Deen.[1][3] Animators Tomomi Mochizuki and Asako Nishida, who both worked with Yamaguchi, expressed their condolences following Yamaguchi's death.[1]
