Note 1: James Wolfensohn was born an Australian citizen but relinquished it in 1980. In 1995 he was made an Honorary Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire (KBE). In 2010 he regained his Australian citizenship, but there is no indication his honorary knighthood has been converted to a substantive knighthood.

Note 2: Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and Charles, Prince of Wales are both substantive Knights of the Order of Australia (AK), but they are not Australians.
