The W.A. Hofmeyr Prize is a literary prize for drama, poetry and prose. It was instituted by Nasionale Pers in honour of a former chairman of the company, W.A. Hofmeyr. It was first awarded in 1954. Originally just books published by Nasionale Boekhandel were considered, but from 1970 all publications by Tafelberg press became eligible.

It is now part of the Media24 Books Literary Awards.
