Danyang Pi clan (Korean단양 피씨; Hanja丹陽 皮氏) was one of the Korean clans. Their Bon-gwan was in Danyang County, North Chungcheong Province. According to the research in 2000, the number of Danyang Pi clan was 1399. Their founder was Pi Wi jong [ja] who was a Jinwu Guard Commander (Hanja: 金吾後衛指揮) in Yuan dynasty. He was dispatched to Goryeo as an envoy during Chungnyeol of Goryeo’s reign. After that, he was naturalized and began Danyang Pi clan because Pi In go (Hanja: 皮寅古), an eldest brother of Pi Wi jong [ja], was chosen as Prince of Danyang (Hanja: 丹山君).[1]
