George B. Dygart was the first head football coach for the Illinois State Redbirds in Normal, Illinois and he held that position for the 1895 season. His overall coaching record at ISU was 5 wins, 2 losses, and 1 ties. This ranks him 15th at ISU in terms of total wins and third at ISU in terms of winning percentage.[1]
